SBI Credit Card Protection Plan (CPP) Update – FAQ

1. What is CPP (Card Protection Plan)?
CPP is a comprehensive protection service offered to SBI credit card holders. It safeguards customers against card loss, theft, and fraudulent transactions. CPP also provides emergency assistance and document support.
2. What changes are being introduced from 16 September 2025?
All existing CPP customers will be automatically migrated to updated plan variants at the time of their policy renewal. The revised plans offer similar or enhanced benefits at reduced prices.
3. Will customers be informed before migration?
Yes. SBI Card will notify customers via SMS and email at least 24 hours before their renewal date.
4. What are the new CPP plan variants and prices?

6. What benefits are included in the updated CPP plans?
- Single-call card blocking
- SIM card blocking
- Emergency travel assistance (₹80,000–₹1,60,000 based on plan)
- Credit Fit Program
- Fraud protection up to ₹1,00,000 (PIN, phishing, OTP-less transactions)
- Additional fraud cover up to ₹25,000
- Mobile wallet protection up to ₹50,000
- Coverage for 30 days prior to fraud notification
7. How can customers register for CPP?
After paying the applicable fee, customers will receive a welcome kit with a unique membership number and registration form. They can either return the form or call the CPP helpline to register their cards and documents.
8. Why should customers register their driving licence and passport details?
If a customer needs their DL or passport number and does not have the physical document, SBI Card executives can retrieve the registered details upon request.
9. Is CPP managed by SBI Card directly?
No. CPP India is a subsidiary of the UK-based CPP Group and operates independently as a card protection service provider in partnership with SBI Card.
