অনুষ্ঠানের আড়ম্বর নেই, নেই আলোর ঝলকালি, ক্যামেরার ফ্ল্যাশে ক্লিক ক্লিক, নেই হইচই বা উচ্ছ্বাসের বাড়াবাড়ি। এবারের অস্কার যেন ঐতিহ্যের অস্কার। অতিমারির ঢেউয়ের ছাপ এবারের অস্কারের অনুষ্ঠানেও।



কোভিড১৯ স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে শারিরিক দূরত্ব বজায় রেখে বসেছেন সবাই। তাই পুরস্কার ঘোষণার পর নেই আপনজনকে জড়িয়ে ধরার উচ্ছ্বাস।



আর এক দিক থেকেও এবারের অস্কার ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করলো। মনোনয়ন আর বিজয়ী—সবদিক থেকেই সর্বকালের সবচেয়ে বৈচিত্র্যময় মনোনয়নের তালিকা এটি। সেরা ছবি হয়েছে নোম্যাডল্যান্ড, সেরা পরিচালক সেরা পরিচালক- ক্লোয়ি ঝাও (নোম্যাডল্যান্ড), সেরা অভিনেতা- অ্যান্থনি হপকিন্স (দ্য ফাদার) ও সেরা অভিনেত্রী- ফ্রান্সিস। ম্যাকডোম্যান্ড (নোম্যাডল্যান্ড)।
